Jelle's very good robot design was the starting point for an animation test, which we worked on together. I have uploaded the flash file, please see the cycle here
Nice design. If you would animate the centre line on his chest, and deform it (so dont keep it a straight line, but curve it to match the rotation of the upper body), you could really enhance the illusion of movement there :) Good luck.

I adjusted the center line, indeed it looks better!
I think this is too soon though. It's would be a shame if this darling would be killed in the future. Head-characters and story first!
